This is my layout for week 1 of the Stand Up and Scrap Contest.
Journaling:
Matthias is patient, Matthias is kind.
Matthias never gives up.
He cares more for others than for himself.
He doesn't want what he doesn't have.
Matthias doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force himself on others,
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
Text is from 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (The Message). It's altered a bit...I always dreamed of a man that would meet all of these qualities. My husband's name is inserted anywhere the word "Love" is in the passage.
